Checking in to a resort was like changing office for me while travelling in Asia. Definitely after I just did a city hotel tour in Singapore where I stayed in all the best luxury hotels in Singapore in 2 weeks. I landed at Phuket International Airport and made my way to Sri Panwa where I was about to stay a couple days and it was one of those places I definitely want to go back some day… WOW!
Location Phuket Sri Panwa
This amazing resort is nestled in the cliffs at the end of a tiny peninsula in the Southeast of Phuket. As some people may know already, Phuket is not my favourite area in Thailand and would not be the number one place I would recommend to go, but I am biased as I saw loads of places in Thailand already. If you are going on a one week holiday and would like to stay in a place which is convenient to get to and want to enjoy the island life in the South of Thailand than Phuket is for sure going to be a perfect destination. As I have seen many resorts in Asia from the inside I think I am pretty good in comparing them. Mostly all of them have impeccable service, high standards, amazing breakfasts, fabulous pools and great beaches. The difference mostly is the location and I think the Phuket Sri Panwa is what that concerns one of those unique places to go in Phuket.
Penthouse suite
The resort consists of many private pool villas perched into the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Though recently the resort added the so-called Penthouse wing to that and in one of those suites I was staying. My suite had a private infinity pool with complete privacy overlooking the ocean and the swimming pool down below. The suite was enormous with a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a large bedroom and an even larger and super stylish bathroom. My private butler showed me around my suite when I checked in and I was totally in awe! As soon as she left, I grabbed the provided iPod, plugged it into the soundsystem, searched a great live set on YouTube and turned up the volume. I stripped all my clothes, danced around naked, and jumped in to the pool! Wow the Sri Panwa Phuket was insaaaaaaaane! No videos available! ;) lol
Sri Panwa Resort
The Sri Panwa Resort is huge and they offer a buggy service to get you around. A couple villas are converted into a spa complex where I enjoyed an hour-long massage. By the time I booked there was only a male masseuse available and although I admit in the beginning it was kind of awkward, the guy did an incredible job and gave a new dimension to the term deep tissue! That sounds bad I now realise, LOL! And to make it even worse he made me moan, haha! He exactly new where to find the right pressure points! No but seriously I did not have such a great massage in a long time!
The Sri Panwa Phuket also houses a fitness center and two restaurants I did not try. The breakfast was served in one of the main buildings. The resort has fantastic views all over, but the breakfast is served in a place without a view, which was a bit odd to me. The food was good, but it was a little busy and chaotic as it is a small place. There are a couple spots where I would have loved to get my breakfast setup and take a fantastic picture, but that was not possible unfortunately. Imagine on the picture down below the table would have been filled with a colourful healthy breakfast, how fantastic would that have been?
Although all suites and villas have their private pool there are 3 public pools to chill, all with amazing views, plus there is a private beach with a massive long pier to walk far in to the ocean to jump in to the deep end. Seriously the Phuket Sri Panwa has top-notch facilities!

Baba Pool Club Sri Panwa
On top of all this there is another top spot in the resort, which is probably one of the best bars in Phuket. When people talk about the Baba Phuket they are talking about the lounge bar on top of the rock in Sri Panwa Resort. The first time I entered the Baba Pool club I was amazed by its location and its incredible 360 degrees view over the whole peninsula and its surrounding islands.
On this flat rooftop there are very limited beanbags available for outside guests as Sri Panwa guests have priority, but if you looking for an amazing place to chill: the Baba Pool Club Sri Panwa is the best place in Phuket for me! The 270 degrees swimming pool is only open from 4-6 pm, the first two hours the bar opens, but I got to have it to myself in the early morning to shoot some pictures! :p
