Since I got a bunch of shit for writing a kind of negative article about things that I don’t like about Australia, I figured it was time to spread some positive feedback on my adventure travel blog about this lovely country. Of course I do not hate Australia and yes I loved living in Sydney on my working holiday visa in 2017. Plus I had a really great time on my 3 month trip Down Under in 2009. Therefore I came up with this new blog post to spread some love.

Due to a busy travel schedule on my road trip through the Balkan countries I only had two days in Albania. Looking for things to do I found a 2 day hike from Valbona to Theth through the mountains which looked great. But how to get there from Shkoder? The best way… take the Komani Lake Ferry from Koman to Fierze!

Just two weeks ago I went on a road trip from Frankfurt to Brussels and last week I was on a road trip in Germany again. How come? I got this offer to test a new app called Breakzy and therefore I traveled to Amsterdam to pick up a Peugeot again, this time a brand new Peugeot 307 SW. But I of course I was not going alone, I picked up my travel buddy from previous trips to India, Austria and my road trip to Balkan first.

After years of traveling I have done many crazy things and some of the best adventures around the world, but the last year there was one thing that was still not ticked off on my travel-to-do-list and that was to experience a vanlife trip. Driving around in a van, free to go wherever, free to stay wherever and live a simple but happy life was what I was dreaming of doing. Finally this dream was becoming reality and I flew to Portugal to pick up a van for my Portugal road trip.
