What I love about Ubud, Bali when it comes to food is, that you have a million options to choose from: local warungs, food market, street stalls, trendy hipster restaurants and fancy dining places. Where to eat in Ubud was never that difficult! It is a real paradise foor foodies and that is why I wrote this Ubud food blog, to get you a little guide where to get the best bites in town.

1. Wamm What About Your Mother
Just outside of the city in a little village called Nyuh Kuning, you will find this local restaurant on a quiet road. Next door there is a kids soccer field and it is right behind Monkey Forest. The warung is a laid back place for relaxing and enjoying your breakfast or meeting up with friends.
Wamm’s philosophy is about mindful eating, their menu has a variety of healthy food options like juices, smoothies, bowls (totally love the peanut butter bowl), vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options all made from local ingredients. Their pumpkin pancakes with fresh strawberries and liquid chocolate make this place one of the best local warungs in Ubud.

2. Warung Falafel
Strolling around the village and feeling a little hungry? Warung Falafel is the perfect stop for your lunch break between your shopping adventures. Located directly at Ubud market you have to take a break and choose one of the three falafel options, pita bread, wrap or bowls in this delicious Ubud restaurant.
Three ingredients are already included, but you can add extras like tabbouleh, or salads for some extra fun! In the end spice it up with their homemade chili or pumpkin sauce and add some fresh juice or lemonade to complete your lunch, happy Falafel day!

3. Clear Cafe
In the heart of Ubud on Hanoman Street in a nice airy space setting you will find Clear Cafe. This place is one of the most famous local restaurants in Ubud. Their menu is a mix of healthy options from different parts of the world, with vegan and vegetarian options next to seafood. But you wont find any meat dishes or alcohol on the menu.
Next to the restaurant you can give yourself a little extra treat at the Clear Spa, where you can enjoy rejuvenating facials and an aroma therapy massage. Here the great mix of a rejuvenating spa treatments and healthy delicious food surely is why this place is always mentioned in any Ubud food blog! Come, enjoy and relax at Clear Cafe!

4. Dumbo
Pleas try this new little gem! The grand opening is actually going to be end of July 2018, so you won’t yet find this amazing local restaurant in any other Ubud food blogs yet. They already started with a soft opening and damn it… I really loved everything I ordered. They definitely did their utmost best to serve the best local food in Ubud! There is a breakfast burger with mushrooms, egg and truffle aioli. You will have to try that one! It was juicy and super delicious, the lemon tart was another highlight and they also serve really good coffee!
I came for lunch first and didn’t try anything from the pizza menu so I had to come back to this local warung. The big oven they have on the first floor, looks really inviting, Im sure it is hard to resist coming back for you too. The stylish interior and the homey colors were nicely chosen and the staff was super friendly! Next time I visit Ubud I will surely come back again! :)

5. Wayan´s Coconut Juice Bar
This one is not really a restaurant but I had to add it to this list of best local warungs in Ubud because it is my most favourite juice place in the area. If you want to do a juice cleanse (really want to try a cleansing retreat) or if you are just a fan of fresh pressed juices like me then this local places is amazing to swing by and get your juice cravings fixed! They even deliver to your villa and you can return the glass bottles to them for reuse next time you are going. When talking about great Ubud restaurants please spread the word about this lovely local restaurant in Ubud. You should definitely try the Jamu-a juice originally used as medicine made from Turmeric, honey, lime and coconut juice, it is yummy! They also sell superfoods and ingredients for smoothie bowls, the chocolate covered coconut flakes are too good to not buy!
