There are two reasons why I really love airport hotels. The first one is that when you check in to an airport hotel, you know your holiday already started. You basically extend your holiday with an extra night. The second reason is that airport hotels make us start our journey and flight rested and relaxed. It’s so good to basically go from bed to breakfast to flight, instead of having to drive to the airport first, beat traffic and arrive stressed and with time pressure to get to your gate in time.
So whenever we have an early flight, or early enough for us to consider an airport hotel, we do so! We recently went on a city trip to Milan and flew from Brussels Airport. Traffic around Brussels is always a nightmare. So with the early morning flight we had, we knew straight away we were going to book an airport hotel near Brussels Airport the night before our flight.
We ended up at the Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Airport Hotel. Conveniently located very close to numerous business headquarters and of course Brussels Airport. The hotel is located only 5 kilometers away from the International Airport of Brussels.
Rooms
The hotel has a total of 162 rooms, all designed with earth tones to reflect an atmosphere of exploration. These rooms offer amenities such as flat-screen TVs, a safe and free WiFi. Of course you can also enjoy the coffee and tea facilities and relax in the comfort of the room.
We were given a Superior Room, which is basic but very good. It’s perfect for that night before your early flight or for a relaxed night after a long flight.
It has a large and comfortable bed, a good-sized bathroom with a lovely rain-shower. All you need really.
RBG Grill Restaurant
An open kitchen is always a winner for me. RBG Grill Restaurant has an open kitchen and a colorful atmosphere.
The vibes are good and more importantly so is the food! Very taste and very good dishes.
RBG Grill Restaurant is also the place for breakfast. A lovely buffet style breakfast with endless choices. Due to our early flight unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy this wonderful breakfast.
We had breakfast to go which was very well organized as well. A bag full of fruit, yoghurt, juices and sandwiches. Honestly, way too much for an early morning start.
Hungry Kiosk
Should you arrive in the middle of the night or just outside the restaurant opening hours, no problem! Next to the reception are they have the 24-hour Hungry Kiosk. It offers snacks and bites, drinks and ice creams for those looking for some food.
Airport Shuttle
Of course the hotel has an airport shuttle available. It runs according to a certain schedule that can be found at the reception.
If you want to use the airport shuttle, make sure you book it at least the night before. Bookings are required!
Covered and secured parking
A good thing about this hotel is their secured and covered underground carpark. We travelled to Brussels by car, so we were very pleased to see this secured underground carpark. For an extra fee you can leave your car here during your trip away.
Gym & Sauna
Want to work out before that long haul flight, or simply just want to relax after an intense trip? The Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Airport has you covered.
They have a gym and sauna that are free to use for guests. You can access them with your room key.
We really enjoyed the Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Airport hotel. It is a decent and basic airport hotel that offers everything you need before or after you long or short trip away.
We enjoyed the food at RBG Grill, which we highly recommend to eat when staying here.
The airport shuttle only takes about 5 minutes to get you right to the terminal. Can’t imagine a more relaxed start to our trip.
