Location
Lapland Winter Park is located in Olleronvaara, only 10 minutes away from Rovaniemi city center. You can easily get there by your own car, taxi, Uber or Wolt. They have a lot of free parking space at the park available.
Free Shuttle Bus
Lapland Winter Park offers a free shuttle bus for all their guests. The shuttle bus departs daily from the city center, with no stops along the way. So you will arrive as quickly as possible to enjoy the winter fun. The journey to Lapland Winter Park only takes about 15 minutes. Departure point from the city center is at Poromiehentie, located on the side of the football stadium right next to their main entrance. It is signposted as well, you can't miss it.
You can very easily recognize the shuttle bus by the Lapland Winter Park name and the reindeer antlers displayed on the bus. If you have pre-purchased tickets for Lapland Winter Park then you have priority boarding the shuttle bus, followed by those who buy tickets upon arrival at the park.
Area ticket
The Lapland Winter Park Area Ticket is your gateway to an unforgettable adventure, blending the enchanting beauty of Lapland's nature with thrilling activities, all in one place. The area tickets are priced 69 EUR for adults and 39 EUR for children.
This ticket includes free shuttle bus from Rovaniemi city center, usage of all free activities unlimited for the whole day, hot drinks, snacks for reindeer, Rovaniemi's longest slide, ice skating, cross country skiing and the fairytale and Christmassy forest.
Ice Karting
Ice karting is incredibly fun and exciting to do. A crazy, adrenaline-filled activity. It's an extremely fast paced activity and perfect for everyone who want to challenge themselves to the fullest. Challenge your family or friends for a friendly and playful competition on the ice. Experience the thrill of controlling your kart on ice, mastering the art of balance, and finding the limits of traction. This is a must do activity.
Please note that an ice karting session is not included with the general admission. So if you want to experience the thrill of ice karting you have to upgrade your ticket.
Rovaniemi Sauna World
A magical Lapland Winter experience without saunas does not exist. That is why they have Rovaniemi Sauna World. It started with just one sauna, but soon came the second and before they knew it they now have six saunas. Then they thought still something was missing. So they added hot jacuzzis and cold ice plunge pools. If that's not the ultimate experience, I don't know what is. The sauna experience is not included with the general admission. So If you want to enjoy this you have to upgrade your ticket.
Mini Snowmobile
This activity is ideal for the little ones. Little adventurers can experience motor sports for the first time in a safe environment with mini snowmobiles. The snowmobiles are limited to a moderate speed and the soft snow around provides a soft descent. The track has nice turns and small uphill's and downhills.
Rovaniemi longest slide
Lapland Winter Park has Rovaniemi's longest slide, how awesome is that? It's an exciting experience for all visitors. It takes you down a long track through a snowy landscape. The length and speed of the slide make it an unforgettable adventure, adding an extra thrill to the winter fun. Sliding is enjoyable for all ages, we can confirm! Sleds are available around the hill, so simply take one and have some good fun.
Snowshoeing & Cross Country Skiing
What could be more fun than trying and discovering special, real Lapland activities such as snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in a pleasant and relaxing way? Lapland Winter Park offers it all. The right equipment, explanation and support.
We decided to try snowshoe walking and especially cross country skiing. As easy as cross country skiing looks, I now know that it is actually quite difficult. We look good in the photos, but they can be deceiving.
Reindeer
Reindeer are unique animals and Lapland is the perfect place to come up close and personal with them. Lapland Winter Park has their own reindeer on site offering a unique opportunity to meet and feed these animals. The area ticket includes a small snack for the reindeer, so take this opportunity and get close with them, it's truly special.
New from the 2025 season they will be offering reindeer sleigh rides as well.
Restaurant
They have a new, modern and large restaurant. If you want to warm up, this is definitely a good place to do it. They have a menu where you can order delicious dishes throughout the day. However, they also offer a lunch buffet that you can book with your ticket. We had this lunch buffet and it is absolutely recommended. Delicious bread, salads, warm dishes and delicious desserts.
We had a really great day at Lapland Winter Park. From the adrenaline rush of ice karting to the focus of trying mastering cross country skiing. Maybe the longest slide was secretly our favorite in the end. The onsite restaurant is highly recommend, especially their lunch buffet.
If you're visiting next season, please be aware that not all activities listed on their website and in this blog are included with the general ticket. Avoid disappointments and be informed before you visit!
