25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin | Laid-Back Jungle Vibes a Bustling City
We first got introduced to the 25hours Hotel brand in 2022 when we visited Hamburg. We then stayed at the 25hours Hamburg HafenCity. We totally liked the hotel and the brand and started searching for more of these amazing hotels. After we stayed at the newest addition to the hotel chain, the 25hours Hotel Dubai One Central, we were completely convinced. When there is a 25hours hotel in town then there is no question, that is our place to stay.
Just recently we decided to visit Berlin again and you can probably already guess it, Berlin has a 25hours hotel, so here we go!
Location
The location of the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin is simply perfect. It is located very close to train and metro, which makes it super easily accessible. The Berlin Zoo is right next door, so a visit to the Zoo should not be missed. The Kurfurstendam, KaDeWe Shopping Center and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church are all within a short walking distance.
If shopping is the main reason of your visit to Berlin, then there simply is no better location. Right next door to the hotel you also find the Bikini Berlin shopping mall.
The (historic) highlights like the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie and the TV tower are all within easy reach. You can rent a bike at the hotel and cycle there or just use the public transport that is literally located next door.
Medium Jungle Room
We were given the medium jungle room and wow, what a room! Walking into the room you feel at home straight away. The best part are the large windows from floor to ceiling overlooking the Berlin Zoo. Where else in the world do you have views that include lions, monkeys, giraffes and elephants? The hammock that is placed right in front of the window is literally the best.
I could chill there for hours, try to spot the animals in the zoo and just dream away.
There isn’t really a separate bathroom, it’s right in the middle of the room, which is actually pretty cool. The best part by far is the rain shower, it’s amazing!
All rooms have a minibar which is included in your stay. You can have the minibar refilled during your stay, but you have to request it at the front desk, otherwise they won’t refill it.
Restaurant NENI
Restaurant NENI is located on the top floor of the hotel and it’s your place to go every morning for breakfast. Breakfast is very rich, many choices and very tasty. For those looking for the real German stuff, you can even get currywurst here for breakfast, go for it!
After breakfast Restaurant NENI transforms into the place to be for lunch and dinner.
Food at NENI is a culinary mixture of Persian, Russian, Arabic, Moroccan, Israeli, Turkish, Spanish, German and Austrian influences. Our recommendation for Restaurant NENI is the Balagan. Balagan means ‚Beautiful Chaos‘.
Your meal starts with a colorful selection of mezze style dishes followed by plates they consider typical for NENI and the Tel Aviv culture. All their dishes are shared and the menu is ordered for the whole table.
You get to try the very best of NENI’s menu and it’s a true journey of discovery for the senses. Of course, the great lunch and dinner here are accompanied by amazing views of the city and the zoo.
Monkey Bar
Also located at the top floor of the hotel is the famous Monkey Bar. Especially during the weekends there are long queues to get in to the Monkey Bar. It’s a popular place for cocktails in Berlin.
Luckily as guest of the hotel, you won’t have to queue up, you can just use the elevator for hotel guests that gets you up there easy and quick. The Monkey Bar is also the perfect place to watch the sunset while enjoying one of their fantastic drinks. Their outdoor sunset terrace is simply fantastic. An international choice of drinks and fine wines as well as bar snacks from the NENI kitchen are served. The vibes are fantastic, especially when live DJ’s or live music is on. Make sure you don’t miss out on this place!
Aperitivo Bar
Let’s not forget about the Aperitivo Bar, which is located at the same floor as the front desk. It’s a super relaxed place with great coffees and delicious cakes. It has an outdoor terrace, fireplace and the most relaxed hammocks I have ever seen. The vibes here are truly fantastic and it’s the perfect place to just chill and relax.
Sauna
You will find pure relaxation on the ninth floor of the hotel, where the sauna and quiet and relaxation zones are located. The sauna is simply fantastic, I haven’t often seen sauna’s with such impressive views as here at the 25hours hotel in Berlin. The sauna overlooks the Berlin Zoo, so while relaxing here, you can enjoy the most amazing views of the zoo and its animals.
There is also a relaxing area with loungers, just to sit back and relax. In this area you will also find a flood shower and bucket shower.
25hours Things Shop
Across from the front desk you find the 25hours Things Shop, I found it hard not to go completely lose and buy everything they have. Cool products, great books, carefully curated selections and specialties from the cooperation partners. As a guest you can buy all of this and more around the clock (25hours)!
Gym
The hotel hasn’t got its own gym, but as a guest you can use the facilities of the nearby McFIT club. With a day ticket for only 10 euros all courses, sauna and fitness equipment can be used.
Ride it like you stole it
That’s the slogan 25hours hotel Bikini Berlin uses to let you know that they have bikes for rent. They are convinced, the best way to explore Berlin is on wheels.
Their Schindelhauer bikes are ready for you, so what are you waiting for. We decided to rent two bikes during our stay and biked towards the Reichstag and Brandenburger Tor. It’s super fun and easy to bike through Berlin with very well marked cycle paths. They also have a few e-bikes for rent if that’s more your thing.
As mentioned before, we had visited the 25hours hotels in Hamburg and Dubai before visiting the 25hours Berlin. We were already convinced that the 25hours hotels offer something cool, something unique and something different. Fortunately, Berlin is no exception.
The vibes here are out of this world, you just have to experience it yourself.
