Are you traveling to Jordan and wondering where to stay in Amman? I had the same problem so I started searching for cool Airbnbs or boutique hotels in Amman and stumbled upon the Royal Villa Mira apartments near Rainbow Street. I stayed there for 5 nights and loved the place, here is why…
More often than ever people are asking me for accommodation recommendations since most of the places I stay on a daily basis are affordable hotels and apartments that don’t compromise in comfort. When I post a place on my Instagram Stories many people ask for the link on either Airbnb or Booking. So I told myself to write more of these short reviews for you guys to make planing your trip to Amman a little easier.
Yes, I also like to stay in 5-star resorts, but let’s be honest. As a full time traveler, world nomad and blogger I am not sleeping in 5-star hotels all the time. It just happens that I get them offered for my job so now and then. However, most of the places you see in my Instagram stories are very affordable apartments, that I definitely recommend booking for your trip too.
Location Royal Villa Mira
As Rainbow Street is one of the best places to visit in Amman, it is no secret that the Royal Mira apartments have a great location. Rainbow Street is literally around the corner. It is where the Amman nightlife is happening and where you can also find the Jara Souq on Fridays, one of the best things to do in Amman.
On top of that Downtown is just a 3-minutes walk downhill as well. There is a staircase leading down from the apartment directly into Downtown. There is no need to take taxis when you stay at Royal Villa Mira to visit the best tourist attractions in Amman.
All the Amman must see places are within walking distance: Roman Theater, Amman Citadel, Downtown, Rainbow Street, Lweibdeh. For a complete list of the best things to do in Amman, click on the link to read all my recommendations.

Room 8 - Studio with Garden View
This apartment complex has several rooms available and some with impressive panoramic views. I however, booked into the most simple room they offer, the Studio with Garden View. Why? Well first off, they were completely booked out. Second, I travel solo as you guys know so I always look for affordable accommodation for just myself.
The Studio with Garden View was very spacious and had 2 double single beds, so perfect for 2 friends traveling to Amman or for solo travelers. It has a big closet, a fridge, flatscreen tv, AC, microwave, kitchen with utilities, a washing machine and a water dispenser all inside the studio.
Very remarkable but I even cooked a meal, my first time in more than a year that I prepared my own meal.
The room was squeaky clean and so was the bathroom that came with hand soap and toilet paper, but no toiletries.
Why this room is the cheapest one available at Royal Villa Mira is because of the view I guess. There is a little garden view and you can also look out over one of the hills on the other side, but the apartment is in the back of the building. Price? Around $50 per night!
The apartments in the front of the building look out over the valley and have amazing panoramic views, but they cost more of course.
Huge communal terrace
All the apartments have access to a very spacious terrace with amazing views. There are a couple tables and chairs for people to hang out and a very comfortable swinging sofa.
I spent my morning on the terrace having my breakfast and met some other cool travelers that were living in the building.
This terrace is a great addition to the Royal Villa Mira apartments and the swinging sofa is a great places for a nap in the sun in the afternoon.
Since I am a big fan of the city I am pretty sure I will be back again some day and then I don’t need to search again for affordable apartments in Amman. Here is the link to the Royal Villa Mira Apartments on booking.
Enjoy your trip to Amman!
