It seems like new exciting tourist attractions are popping up in Dubai every day. One of the newest additions to the city is Sky Views. I initially thought it was just a new viewing platform or observatory for outstanding Burj Khalifa views, boy was I wrong. Sometimes traveling also means taking on challenges, pushing boundaries and conquering fears, and we certainly did that when we signed up for the Edge Walk in Dubai.

Sky Views Dubai attractions
Sky Views is Dubai’s latest and most innovative destination for leisure experiences and unique thrilling adventures. Sky Views is located near the heart of Downtown Dubai, across from famous Burj Khalifa, Sky Views is a futuristically designed podium connecting the apex of The Address Sky View twin 50-story dual towers, which also houses The Address Sky View Hotel with the famous infinity pool.
It’s situated immediately adjacent to the Dubai Metro and public walkway system, near the junction of two of Dubai’s busiest thoroughfares and the Dubai Mall, the Address - Sky View is set to become one of the city’s most recognizable and popular landmarks. Due to its location, it’s very easily accessible too. Now with its newest Dubai tourist attraction The Edge Walk it will only become more popular!
There is a long list of awesome things to do in Dubai and the Traveltomtom team experienced many of them: Dubai Helicopter Tour, Yellowboats Tour around Dubai, Dinner in the Sky, Dubai Desert Safari, Walking Tour of Old Dubai, The Burj Khalifa At The Top Experience and many more.
Observatory
The Observatory is located on floors 52 and 53 of the twin Address Sky View Hotel, offering visitors an unforgettable experience. It offers unobstructed views of the famous Burj Khalifa, and just that already makes it a very popular new highlight in Dubai.
After taking the elevator up you are rewarded with amazing 360 degree views from 219.5 meters above Downtown Dubai. Sky Views Observatory is a thrilling one of a kind attraction, that just can’t be missed. It’s also the gateway to three adrenaline-pumping activities, each more extreme than the other.
Glass bottom floor
Walk the 25 meter glass floor while enjoying spectacular views of the city from above. It’s probably the least thrilling activity of the three, but walking over a glass floor at nearly 220 meters can be a challenge. Looking down from that height, seeing cars and metro becoming miniature versions, it makes you realize how high you really are. Here is a reel from Traveltomtom.
Glass Slide
Would you slide down from the 53rd floor of a high rise building in a glass tunnel slide? Literally anything is possible in Dubai, so why not put a glass slide to the side of a high rise building? It’s by far the most thrilling and exciting slide I’ve ever gone down.
The slide is a transparent tube that wraps around the tower’s exterior, linking levels 53 and 52, offering a unique and adrenaline pumping experience.
The slide comes with your ticket, as the Observatory general admission includes a one-time slide only. Want to go a second time? Any additional slides can be added for AED 25 ($7 USD).
This Dubai tourist attraction has become very popular in the few months it has been open now. Waiting times can take up to 30 minutes and even longer during peak hours.
If you sign up for the Edge Walk you can use the fast lane and skip the line, which indeed was very long. In our honest opinion the long queues are not worth the wait for the slide, as the slide lasts literally just 3-4 seconds. But when you are visiting Dubai for the first time and come all the way up here then go for it.
Edge Walk
I have to admit, walking along a ledge at 220 meters above the ground, no windows, no protective barriers, I wasn’t immediately excited. I wanted to overcome my fears and just do this, and so I did! Afterwards I can only say, I never knew the Edge Walk was on my bucket list, until I got to do it. Adrenaline rushed through my body for several hours after we did the Edge Walk, freaking awesome! Definitely one of the most exciting things to do in Dubai these days.
Sky Views Edge Walk is the most thrilling attraction in Dubai, and the first of its kind in the region. It is the city’s highest full circle hands-free walk on a ledge which encircles the top of the Tower’s main pod, at 220 meters above the ground.If you dare and go for it you will be richly rewarded with stunning and breathtaking views of Downtown Dubai and beyond.
Make sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Before going on to the ledge, you’re provided with overalls, a helmet and a safety harness. Once your group is ready to go you will be taken to the next room, where your safety harness will be secured. You get a short safety briefing and instruction, after which the doors open and you’re going outside. Realize that you’re actually walking on the Address Sky View, and make sure to enjoy the bird’s eye view of the city and the Burj Khalifa.
The first few moments out there, funny enough I wasn’t even concerned with the view at all, I was just fully focused and full of adrenaline. Once the first adrenaline rush was over, I was calm enough to enjoy the views. Most probably the best views of Dubai you can get, well... may be a helicopter ride in Dubai can only beat that!
Until our guide came and asked us to lean back over the edge, wait what?! Yes, we had to lean back over the edge, and if there is something that feels unnatural, this certainly is one of them!
There is a photographer with you during the whole experience, who will capture all your exciting and exhilarating moments. These photos can be purchased afterwards. Even though these kind of services are always expensive, we decided to buy a couple of photos, as they are unique photos of us leaning over the edge with the Burj Khalifa in the background.
Panorama 52
Panorama 52 is your place to go to round off a day of thrills and adventure, or simply enjoy the city’s best views with some delicious food. Panorama 52 offers amazing vistas of the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Fountain and Downtown Dubai. It’s a great spot for catching the sunset and hanging out with friends.
Unfortunately Panorama 52 wasn’t open when we visited in March ’22, but it’s opening soon and will be another great asset to Sky Views!
We highly recommend visiting Sky Views and enjoying the unique and unobstructed views of Burj Khalifa. Make sure to enjoy some of the adrenaline pumping and thrilling activities. I immediately would do the Edge Walk again, but please be aware, it’s not for the faint-hearted! We have actually seen people turning around going back in after their first steps out on the ledge. But if you are that adrenaline junkie, always looking for that unique and awesome experience, make sure you put the Edge Walk on your to-do list when visiting Dubai next!
