It’s one of those things you just have to do when visiting Dubai, a boat tour through the spectacular Marina, one of the most popular places to visit in Dubai. Walking around the Marina is fun, but seeing the Marina from a boat tour is the best way to take in all the breathtaking views.

We took a Dubai Marina boat tour with The Yellow Boats and in this blog we will tell you all about our experiences.

After that you hit the open water where you will first see Ain Dubai, the largest and tallest Ferris wheel in the world. You will then cruise around the amazing Palm Jumeirah, with a short stop at Atlantis the Palm and Burj Al Arab. From Burj Al Arab you will slowly start making your way back to Marina, along the coast with views of the Royal Palaces and Palm Lagoon. The Premium Tour lasts 90 minutes.

It’s the shortest but maybe the most exhilarating tour of them all. This tour lasts 45 minutes and blasts straight to Atlantis the Palm for spectacular photos. Our on board experience with The Yellow Boats

The experience from boarding the Yellow Boats to disembarking is fantastic! You feel that you as a customer come first, and that’s really great.

Just before you board The Yellow Boats there is a short safety instruction and you get your life vest on. You can then pick a seat and wait for everyone to board.

You’re hosted on board by a skipper and a guide, who will be with you all the way.

The first part of the tour takes you through the Marina, where there is a speed limit. During this part of the tour, the guide will explain a lot about the Marina, JBR and Dubai. Once you pass the Ain, the speed will increase.

Each tour has several stops, where your guide will first give you some information on the particular stop, after which you will have a great photo opportunity. Your guide is also photographer, give him your phone or camera and he will take some amazing photos.

We highly recommend The Yellow Boats tour. They give you a unique perspective of some of the best places to visit in Dubai, which simply cannot be viewed by road. The guides provide you with fascinating architectural, historical and cultural facts about Dubai and some interesting background stories. We opted for the Premium Tour, as we simply wanted to see it all.

Traveltomtom’s Tip for The Yellow Boats Tours

dubai sunset tour

Whichever tour you choose, make sure you take the tour that departs just before sunset. By doing this you will start your tour in daylight, and see most iconic landmarks by day. During the tour, the sun starts to set which is amazing to see from the water. By the end of the tour it’s dark, and that’s about the time you get back to Marina. Seeing the skyline, JBR and Marina lit up is truly breathtaking!

The Yellow Boat Tours Abu Dhabi

Just like the Dubai tours, The Yellow Boats also operate from Abu Dhabi. They have two departure points in Abu Dhabi, at the Emirates Palace Marina and at Yas Marina. From Abu Dhabi they offer three different tours, two from the Palace, and one from Yas Marina.
