One of the biggest interconnected ski areas in Austria can be found in the Paznaun Valley in Tyrol. The old farming village of Ischgl is situated right on the base of this massive ski resort. Since it is also part of the Zillertal 300 lift ticket it is a popular place to go skiing. Interconnected with Hochfügen, the ski resort is called Hochzillertal.

Looking for endless groomed runs? Then head to SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental where 90 lifts connect 280km of tracks! The is the biggest interconnected ski area in Austria connects 8 little villages that all have their own valley run. This is one of the reason you will find numerous huts on the mountains and this area is well-known for its charming atmosphere.

It was not my first time skiing in Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. Last year winter I was here already the 4th time and last July I even enjoyed Saalbach in summer. Seeing the mountains of Salzburgerland in summer was a great experience, but I still prefer winter trips to Austria. So when I got a chance to review Stockinggut Leogang I didn’t hesitate a second.

This well-known village in the Zillertal offers great skiing opportunities and is a popular tourist destination. The town got bigger over the last years and development is still going on. Though the center is still very traditional and has a great atmosphere. Located between the Ahorn and the Penken mountains Mayrhofen has a lot of variation to offer from beginners to experts. In total there are 135km of groomed runs, including Austrians steepest groomed run the Harikiri! On the mountain you will find plenty of traditional huts that serve local food for a decent price.
