Jetpac is a Singapore based company, created to make your life as a traveler easier. They believe and know that data roaming is not rocket science and want to simplify this for customers and travelers. This is one of the things that make Jetpac stand out from other eSIM providers. You basically only instal a Jetpac eSIM once on your device. You then just add packages to your account, not new eSIMs. More about it later.
Jetpac eSIM packages
Basically Jetpac offers two kind of packages, multi country and single country packages. Something to be aware of before buying their eSIM is that Jetpac solely offers data packages. At the moment of writing this review (September 2024), they don't offer any packages that include texts or calls.
The multi-countries packages are definitely a winner and can in the long run save you a lot of money. Not to forget all the hassle you would have to go through of buying a new eSIM for every new country you visit. With their multi-country packages you have stress free travels through Europe and stay online throughout your entire stay.
Other regional Jetpac eSIM packages are: Global, Southeast Asia, Asia-Pacific, North America, Middle East and North Africa, Latin America.

Is my phone eSIM compatible?
We learned something new while writing this review of Jetpac and using their services. We think it's something really clever, so we like to share it with you as well.
Of course we know our phone is eSIM compatible. Jetpac offers an extended list of compatible devices on their website, but they also taught us a very simple way of checking if your device is eSIM compatible:
Simply dial *#06# on your phone. A screen will pop up and will show you a bunch of barcodes. If you see a barcode with 'EID', then you know your device is eSIM compatible.

Using Jetpac eSIM
To get started with Jetpac you have to create an account with them. It's the very first step they want you to do. Whether you want to purchase a Jetpac eSIM via the website or via the app, creating a profile is mandatory.
To sign up with Jetpac you just enter your e-mail address and you will get a verification code to confirm it's really you. No password required, just a verification code via email every time you want to login. Enter the code to complete registration and you're good to go!
After you have registered, the only thing you basically have to do is pick your desired package. For writing this extensive Jetpac review we chose a single country package from the Netherlands as a reference.
As you can see from the screenshot, even for a small country like the Netherlands, they have a wide range of eSIM plans, from as little as 1 GB data to 40 GB data.
Make sure you pick the right amount of data so you stay connected throughout your entire stay. Better a little bit too much data than to less. Right?
Once you have decided on the package, the next step is to simply purchase the chosen plan. It's very easy. Check once more ito confirm the right package, then enter your payment details and proceed.
Within a few seconds your payment is approved and confirmed and your eSIM is on its way to you!
Please note that the confirmation e-mail of the eSIM could end up in your spam folder. It sometimes happens when you buy your first Jetpac eSIM.
If it is your first time using Jetpac then the only thing left to do is to install the eSIM you just purchased.
You can do that by easily downloading their app and proceed from there. If you don't want to download their app just yet, you can also use the QR code provided in the confirmation e-mail.
Installing the data plan only requires three simple steps. They are clearly described in the confirmation e-mail from Jetpac, so you really can't go wrong there.
The nice thing about Jetpac is that you can buy their packages in advance and have them enabled and activated once you arrive at your destination. By following the steps in the same confirmation e-mail you ensure yourself that you connect automatically once you arrive overseas and have your eSIM activated. Pretty simple, pretty sweet!
The validity of the eSIM only starts when it connects to a supported network. So when installing the Jetpac eSIM 10 days before your trip, no need to worry about the validity.
Jetpac App
For anyone who likes the convenience of an app as much as I do, make sure you download the Jetpac app as soon as you think Jetpac is the right eSIM provider for you.
Even if you buy a Jetpac eSIM from the website, when logging in to the app (with the same email address) the app immediately shows you the purchased eSIM.
If you want, you can also register and buy the eSIM through the app.
Once you open the Jetpac app after purchasing the eSIM it shows up. It will say that your eSIM is not yet installed, and through the app you can follow the steps to install the eSIM.
Basically just click the button 'Install eSIM' and your phone will do the magic. Simple as that!
You are setup in less than 5 minutes after buying the eSIM, which is absolutely brilliant.
We found out the Jetpac app is super easy with purchasing and setting up the eSIM. But what else does the Jetpac app offer?
There are a lot of in-app features and useful information to be found on the app.
The home screen shows your current package(s) and allows you to manage your eSIM. It conveniently also shows the status of your eSIM. So you'll know if your eSIM is turned on and you're ready to roam. You can also dive deeper into your current package.
From the app you can easily purchase new packages, just in case you're running out of data or you're staying longer.
Additional services
Next to being a very reliable eSIM provider with very competitive eSIM prices, Jetpac offers some great extras services. As frequent eSIM users, we have to admit, we have never seen any other eSIM provider come with these kind of extras.
Jetpac offers four special services for its eSIM users. The Jetpac perks come as the so called JetPass. You can divide the JetPass perks into: paid perks and free perks.
Please note that you have to purchase an eSIM first before being able to use these extras.

The Traveltomtom Team has been using Jetpac for a while now and luckily never really had to deal with any issues. Should you experience any problems with Jetpac eSIMs or services, Jetpac has a very extended help section available on both their website and in their app.
Jetpac shows commonly asked questions and with the Network Connection and Manage eSIM buttons you're directed to the most common issues directly with very extensive support sheets to solve the issue immediately.
May that not work or you would rather speak directly to someone there is a chatbot and live chat available in the app.

Are there things that could be done differently or better?
Yes, no one is perfect, also not Jetpac. So at Traveltomtom we think Jetpac could improve on the following.
Data-only eSIMs
The fact that Jetpac solely offers data-only eSIM plans can be a dealbreaker for some travelers. Even though it is all about data nowadays, there are still travelers that would like to make calls and send text and prefer to have an eSIM with a phone number.
If that is you then Jetpac simply is not your eSIM provider.
Let's see if Jetpac will add calling and texting services to their eSIM packages in the future.
Mandatory registration
The fact that you have to register yourself before being able to buy an eSIM can stop people from choosing Jetpac eSIMs. Some people rather not create a profile.
Our final thoughts on Jetpac
We can be quite short here, at Traveltomtom we think Jetpac has been a refreshing addition to the eSIM market. Jetpac is very innovative and it makes other eSIM providers look very old-fashioned.
